Rito en Fuego

October, 2022
Medellín, Col.

Rito en fuego, Rico en fuego
(Fire/Rite/Table)

In collaboration with the colombian designers from Aula Espacio, Camila Pardo (Oficio), Francisco Jaramillo (Fango), Santiago Retrepo (Tblrs), and Antonia Zapata.

The origin of food was fire.

Imagine a Sunday afternoon: a twelve-meters wood table, the smell of firewood, and the warmth of the sun. The fire stands at the center, symbolizing the origin and transformation of food. A table is never just a table; it bears witness to everything that happens around it over time. In this unique gathering, we burnt it, ensuring there will never again be another like it.
A memorable and special encounter of 60 people.

On the menu
Fresh empanadas, Obleas, Solteritas

Glossolalia

December, 2022
Medellín, Col.

Speaking in tongues, also known as glossolalia, is an activity or practice in which people utter words or speech-like sounds, often thought by believers to be languages unknown to the speaker.

Glossolalia was a collaborative dinner between The Black Bean & Hito Estudio where sound, light, and food gathered a group of twelve.

Mangia

January, 2023
Medellín, Col.

The first dinner of a year seven (2023).
A table set for twelve legendary characters, offering a thousand reasons to toast and fostering magnetic connections. It was an evening where chance became an opportunity to connect. Among the guests, roles were played as a king, two queens, a few jacks, aces, tens, and nines. The event showcased an Italian banquet by Michael Gardenia—an Italian cook, photographer, and passionate devotee of his mamma's cooking.

Café Málaga

July, 2023
Medellín, Col.

The Salón Málaga is one of those places where the old bohemian atmosphere of coffee and gatherings combines with the ambience of modern bars. We served a series of morning coffees with hidden messages to our guests.
